The Full-Day Adventure — Otaru Fishing & Sea Cave SUP

Some days you just have to try your own product — so we did.

We kicked things off early at Otaru Port for the fishing half of our full-day package, and the timing couldn't have been better. Sardines (iwashi) were running like crazy — rod after rod bent over, lines going tight almost as fast as we could cast. It's the kind of fishing that hooks you instantly (pun very much intended) — fast, engaging, and honestly a little addictive once the bites start stacking up.

By afternoon we swapped rods for paddles and headed out for the SUP half of the day, exploring a stretch of coastline we hadn't paddled before. The water had some chop to it — nothing dramatic, just enough to keep you on your toes — but the payoff was worth it. We wound our way into a hidden sea cave carved into the cliffside, paddled out to admire the rugged rock formations from the water, and just soaked in a side of Otaru's coast most people never see.

Fishing in the morning, sea caves in the afternoon, and a whole lot of laughs in between — this is exactly what the full-day package is built for. If you've been on the fence about booking it, this was your sign.

We can't wait to bring more of you out here with us.

The proof is in the catch — sardines running wild at Otaru Port today.

Deep in a hidden sea cave, boards docked on the rocks — this is what exploring Otaru's coast by SUP looks like.

Rods up, smiles bigger — when the sardines are running, everyone's a winner.
